NC State Dreamy Grad Photos on Film

I love grad photos. I’ve been doing grad sessions in North Carolina for four years now at universities all across the state, and hands down, one of my favorite methods of capturing this milestone is by shooting photos on film! Using the old 35mm format instead of digital lets us slow down and be more intentional with location, posing, and energy.

Last spring, I shot a roll of my favorite film stock (portra 400!) around NC State’s campus in Raleigh with my friend Anushna a few days before her graduation ceremony. These grad photos captured our intention for the session: dreamy, cinematic, and bittersweet.

For our session, we traveled around NC State’s campus to some favorite locations: the Court of Carolinas, the NCSU bell tower, the Gardner Arboretum, and more.
